Our roots

I believe the Bernthal's orginated in Switzerland from a place called Bern and during the civil war in the 1500's they left to live in other countries in Europe. For example:- Russia and Germany. Many of the Bernthal's in the United States of America can trace their ancestors back to Germany and prior to that Switzerland, while our line goes back to Russia.

On this page are the details of our ancestor Herman Gottlieb's other children plus his parents and brothers and sisters.
